Commercial Bank Characteristics and the Monetary Policy Transmission: Evidence from South Asia

This thesis explores three independent empirical essays related to commercial bank characteristics and their impact on monetary policy transmission in South Asian economies. The results have important policy implications for the stability of South Asian economies, in terms of the proper trade-off between economic stability and financial system stability.
