Conceptualising Sensitive Design Patterns in Adaptive Reuse of Industrial Architecture

thesis
posted on 2023-07-27, 03:07 authored by Chayakan Siamphukdee
This research examines design sensitivity in adaptive reuse of industrial architecture. It explores the history and theory of adaptive reuse in the 1970s, reviewing three critical disciplines: heritage conservation, architectural practice, and architectural critic. The theories are conceptualised into a new framework to analyse how adaptive reuse designs correspond to industrial architecture and its character.
