Contribution of multi-tenure reserve networks to biodiversity conservation

All multi-tenure reserve networks studied contributed in varying degrees to biodiversity conservation. The aims and restrictions set by or imposed upon the coordinating body, and the biophysical nature of the surrounding landscape and resultant historical land use and tenure pattern were found to be the key factors influencing the current and potential contribution that such networks make.
