This study explores links between chief executive officer (CEO) narcissism, corporate earnings management, and executive compensation in the context of corporate social responsibility (CSR) metrics. The research emphasizes the importance of understanding moderating and mediating factors in enabling narcissistic CEO behaviours. This study deepens the understanding of factors linking CSR and firm value, explaining inconsistent results amongst existing literature.
