Corrosion Mitigation of Mild Steel Using Rare Earth Carboxylate Inhibitors

This study examined the effectiveness of rare earth carboxylate based compounds in aqueous environments and coating systems for mild steel using various electrochemical and surface characterisation techniques. Rare earth carboxylates exhibited active corrosion inhibition with high efficiency, demonstrating to be promising candidates to protect mild steel materials.
