Cradle to Crypt: Women in Australian and South Korean Horror Cinema

Through practice-led research and a cross-examination of four horror films, this study examined contemporary Australian and South Korean horror cinema which contribute to/or challenge universal tropes regarding female representation, specifically 'monstrous' mothers and the female ghost; their narratives present a more complex exploration of women than simply 'good' or 'bad'.
