Creating change in informal settlements in Southern Africa

The study examined how people in informal settlements in Southern Africa create change. Building on qualitative and interpretive approaches, the study revealed personal, household, and community impacts. Through the power of ritual, agency, relationships and knowledge that is decolonising and indigenous, people in townships achieve powerful tangible and intangible change.
