This thesis investigated the grid-integration challenges of a permanent magnet synchronous generator-based wind turbine to improve stability, power quality, and grid code compliance. It covers the design and control aspects, including multi-level converters, solid state transformers, nonlinear model predictive control, modified third-order harmonic filter, and coordinated control schemes with static synchronous compensator and supercapacitor energy storage.
