Developing Novel End-use Pathways for Water Treatment Sludge

This study explores sustainable solutions for water treatment sludge (WTS). The research evaluates the beneficial reuse of WTS as an adsorbent for phosphorus and per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Thermal treatment enhances phosphorus adsorption, and PFAS adsorption is effective with poly aluminium chloride WTS. Additionally, WTS proves valuable in road construction, improving soil properties.<p></p>
