This thesis has been submitted for the fulfilment of my doctoral research titled 'Development of novel formulation for the preservation of perishable foods'. The project aimed at exploring the potential of sustainable biomaterials like silk proteins and curcumin to make a non-toxic formulation for future food preservation application.
