Dietary sources and assessment of sodium and potassium intakes in Australian preschool aged children

This research showed that Australian preschool children are consuming high amounts of sodium which exceeded recommendations, driven by the consumption of processed foods. In addition, preschool children consumed low amounts of vegetables leading to potassium intakes which were below recommendations and a molar Na:K ratio above the WHO recommendation.
