This thesis explores the shift to digital pathology in three sites: research evaluating digital pathology, the policy promises of digitization shaping the routine work of pathology departments, and pathology education. It employs two disparate theoretical strands, science and technology studies and evidence-based medicine, using quantitative and qualitative methods.<p></p>
