Globalisation, government cost-cutting and demographic changes have combined to produce hard times for many South Australian families. Disadvantaged schools in the polarised city of Adelaide must strugle everyday to meet the needs of children and young people, with reducing budgets, diminishing support services and unrealistic policy expectations. These are their stories.
