Donor-Conceived Adults' Perceptions of Parenting, Adjustment, and Parent-Offspring Relationships

thesis
posted on 2023-11-27, 04:51 authored by Caitlin M. Macmillan
This thesis systematically assessed parenting, adjustment and relationship dynamics from donor-conceived adults' perspectives and made comparisons to spontaneously-conceived adults. Cross-sectional comparisons were made among donor-conceived participants based on circumstances of donor conception discovery. Results suggest being donor-conceived may have some beneficial effect on recalled parenting, but an adverse effect on adjustment and parent-offspring relationships.
