This study aims to figure out the mechanism of ductile fracture and to properly model the macroscopic hardening behaviours with phenomenological constitutive models. A fracture mode based on maximum shear strain was proposed. Distortional hardening models considering the differential hardening under proportional loadings and non-proportional loadings were proposed.
