Effect of Thermomechanical Processing Parameters on Bainite Transformation Kinetics, Microstructure, and Intervariant Boundary Network Characteristics

This study investigated how thermomechanical processing parameters and routes affect the bainitic transformation of kinetic and microstructure-mechanical properties of carbide-free bainitic steel. It concluded that transformation kinetics and microstructures are sensitive to thermomechanical processing parameters and routes and found that bainite morphology has a more prominent effect on toughness than the microstructural refinement (packet size) of bainite.
