This thesis focuses on virtual power plants (VPPs) composed of interconnected microgrids (IMGs), used to provide demand-side frequency control ancillary services. Considering energy trading among those IMGs within the VPP, a double-stage and double-layer optimization model for VPPs is proposed, with simulation experiments using real data to validate the feasibility of the proposed model.
