Error Analysis in the Work of Novice Indonesian Translators

This case study was conducted within the Translation Program in the English Department of Politeknik Negeri Padang (PNP), West Sumatera, Indonesia. It demonstrates how error analysis is informative in understanding students' deficiencies if incorporated as an assessment technique at the institutional level. Consequently, this study provides recommendations on a new direction for more effective translation education in Indonesia.
