Essays on Debt Repayment Behavior

This thesis contains three essays on debt repayment behavior of borrowers. The first essay is an extensive literature review that guides the research questions of next two essays. The second essay finds that firms prefer repaying transaction lenders over relationship lenders, and the third essay finds that households default more if they get unanticipated moratorium.
