The thesis surveys the literature to construct a model of leadership, personality and managerial styles in the emerging networking structures predicted to dominate 21st century organisational designs. It then presents data on the frequency of various styles among aspiring managers that suggest difficulties with implementing the new paradigm. The impact of gender, occupational and national background and situational stress on these dynamics is assessed.<p></p>
