Exploratory surgery of the female psyche

The thesis comprises a body of work reflecting the author's current art practice and an accompanying exegesis. The series of paintings and drawings contain a visual narrative concerned with achieving a female authority. The 3 part exegesis provides an introduction and includes the framework behind the investigation; gives a theoretical analysis of the issues which underlie the narrative; and analyses the visual images which express the narrative.
