thesis
posted on 2004-01-01, 00:00 authored by Mary T. Hawkins
This research concerns the reasons that people give for events in their lives. An improved measure, which determined that when people regard their own characteristics as causing good events, they are protected from depression and are more optimistic, was created. Thinking that their characteristics cause bad events increases their depression.
