Extracting fingerprint features using textures

This thesis focuses on designing a fingerprint-based identification system that is highly expandable by using MATLAB and an embedded processing environment. Achieved within this research was hardware design, image capture, image processing and feature extraction. These building blocks will provide means for a cost effective and secure identification system.
