Factors influencing retirement savings intentions in Botswana

This study identified and tested some factors that affect retirement savings decisions in Botswana. Subjective norms, financial literacy and attitude were found to have positive effects on intentions to make additional voluntary contributions (AVC) to retirement savings. With these results, targeted intervention efforts will aid policy formulation designed to induce additional voluntary retirement savings.
