This thesis aimed to examine the factors that contribute to romantic relationship success for autistic individuals, in the form of a systematic review and two empirical studies. The findings highlight the important role that partner responsiveness plays in enhancing relationships involving an autistic person, and support the shift towards a strengths-based approach to autism research.
