Fear of Self and Concealment in Obsessive-Compulsive Phenomena

thesis
posted on 2023-11-27, 04:52 authored by Tess Maree Murphy Jaeger
This thesis is concerned with elucidating the role of negative self-evaluative beliefs, self- and symptom-concealment in OCD symptoms and related phenomena, as experienced within the general population. Findings support the role of distinctive feared-self beliefs and a tendency toward concealment that are consistent with prominent cognitive models of OCD.
