Fiqh al-aqalliyyat in the Sense of Belonging for Muslim Minorities in Contemporary America

Muslim Americans overwhelmingly feel that they belong in the United States. They have produced their own reasoning (fiqh al-aqalliyyat) that have helped them to justify and pursue belonging in the United States. Islamophobia, however, has been a phenomenon that has challenged this feeling at times.
