Folate fortification : a case study of public health policy-making

The thesis presents an analysis of how and why folate fortification policy was made in Australia in response to evidence that folate may reduce birth defect risk. The outcome is a theoretical understanding of the politics associated with using evidence in making public health policy in a food regulation setting.
