Fostering knowledge connections between healthy eating, active play and sustainability in early childhood education

An early childhood, play-based curriculum intervention was developed in a pedagogical response to obesity prevention in the preschool years. The intervention invited educators to design a curriculum utilising children’s popular culture interests to combine health and sustainability messages. Significant changes in knowledge and eating habits were seen over time.
