This study provides an insight into the cytotoxic potential of natural and recombinant ribosome-inactivating protein (Balsamin) from Momordica balsamina. It explores the molecular mechanism of Balsamin-induced apoptosis in cancer cells. The study offers far-reaching implications of exploring new balsamin targets and delivery systems for cancer therapy.<br>
