Angiogenesis is a hallmark of cancer and VEGF is the most potent pro-angiogenic factor that stimulates angiogenesis in diseases including cancer, A recombinant anti-VEGF, Fc-fusion protein, VEGFR1(D1-D3)-Fc was developed and characterized. The protein demonstrated strong binding affinity to VEGF and anti-angiogenic functions in cell-based assays and animal model of cancer.
