Functions of communication across the eggshell in two ground-nesting shorebird species

This thesis investigated possible functions of embryonic vocalisations and chick vocalisations in two ground-nesting shorebird species. The findings of this research support the growing body of literature that affirms that avian communication across the eggshell and immediately after hatching may serve several important functions.
