Gender, Security and Identity in Turkey: A Narrative Exploration

This thesis interrogates the gendered nature of national identity and security in Turkey. It addresses a lack of engagement with the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and concludes that security cannot be achieved when non-conformity to gender and sexuality norms is a precursor to structural and physical violence
