Grounding Social Democracy: European democratic responses to the Global Financial Crisis

This thesis examined European democratic responses to the Global Financial Crisis. It analysed the narratives of movements in Greece, Spain and Iceland in relation to the challenges for social democracy. The findings contend that narratives arising from concrete dilemmas and experiences offer a novel way of researching social democracy.
