Health implications of market power in the food manufacturing sector

This thesis developed and applied tools to analyse market power in the global food manufacturing sector in support of broader research efforts to understand power imbalances that structurally influence population health and health equity. The thesis shows that curbing excessive market power is an important systemic, upstream, and equitable solution to partially tackle many complex threats to public health.
