Heavy metal accumulation in soils at three field sites subject to effluent irrigation

XiongTemporal and spatial distribution patterns of heavy metal accumulation in soils irrigated with wastewater across three sites with different climates were investigated. Results show that high bioavailable fractions of metals remain even after 8 years cessation of sewage irrigation. Clay amendments profoundly influenced the adsorption characteristics of individual metals in soils.
