This research proposed a series of methodologies and algorithms for highly efficient serial episode discovery in streams and complex sequences, and applied the developed techniques to quantitative analysis of the effects of price promotions. This research has outputted nine ERA ranking AlB papers published in international journals and conferences.<br>
