Hot Deformation Studies of UDIMET 720LI

This thesis investigated the influence of primary gamma prime precipitates on hot deformation flow stress, dynamic recrystallization, and aging kinetics of secondary gamma prime precipitates. The cyclic response of the deformation flow curve for small strains suggests the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization. High supersaturation favors faster precipitation kinetics of gamma prime precipitates while cooling and providing more time for Ostwald ripening at a higher temperature.
