How Can Doctors Operationalise Patient Autonomy in Shared Decision Making?

This thesis describes a program of research where an intervention in communication skills education for doctors was developed, implemented, and evaluated. The purpose was to transform the theoretical concepts of shared decision-making and patient autonomy into principles that are implementable and measurable in clinical practice by medical doctors.
