Identification and Characterisation of Novel Peptide Inhibitors of β-Site Amyloid Precursor Protein Cleaving Enzyme 1

This research investigates the effects of peptide inhibitors on an enzyme responsible for the formation of amyloid plaques in Alzheimer's disease, human I2-Site Amyloid Precursor Protein Cleaving Enzyme 1. New methods to detect precursors of plaque formation were developed, alongside the identification of in vitro models to study Alzheimer's disease in a lab setting.
