Identifying dietary-associated biological pathways in major depressive disorder

This thesis provides support for a role of diet in depression and adds to our existing understanding of dietary patterns that may contribute to the biological vulnerability and trajectory of depression. This work directs future research on the gut-brain axis, and supports dietary improvement as a clinical and public health strategy for mental health.
