Identity and expression of selves in Iranian English-as-a-Foreign-Language classrooms

This research investigated the role of English as an additional language (EAL) in Iranian learners' identity and self-expression. The research found that due to exposure to a restrictive context, the participants were limited in their self-expression. Through learning English, they critically questioned the forces that imposed limitation on them.
