Implementing the International Baccalaureate in the United Arab Emirates: A Bourdieusian perspective

This thesis examined the lived experiences of key stakeholders in a private international school in Dubai implementing and facilitating the International Baccalaureate continuum. The findings highlighted the tensions and challenges of aligning a globalised curriculum with the preservation of national identity.
