Importance of the contribution of Australians to the penetration of China by the China Inland Mission in the period 1888-1953, with particular reference to the work of Australian women missionaries

Investigates the work of Australian China Inland Mission missionaries and the context in which they operated. Compares the respective contributions of men and women. Concludes that the Australian contribution to the CIM effort was multifaceted, widespread, and important, with women missionaries acquitting themselves very well.
