This study investigated the classroom-based study of literature. It explored a new-materialist pedagogy that pushes beyond rational thought and consensus into a world of sense and affect. Findings point toward inclusive and open-ended understandings of learning, ways of facing (literature) education's colonial legacy, and more creative, sensory modes of reading.<p></p>
