Incorporating spatial ecology into seagrass restoration to improve success

This thesis compiles geostatistical considerations useful to guiding seagrass restoration in Western Port, Victoria, Australia. Specifically, a focus is placed on identifying i) contemporary seagrass distributions and recent changes through time, ii) environmentally suitable areas to host restoration, and iii) estimates of dispersal and genetic connectivity to improve restoration success.
