Information, Transparency and Efficiency in Markets

This thesis applies experimental and meta-analysis methods to assess how information and transparency impact efficiency. It focuses on financial asset markets and bilateral bargaining markets. The findings suggest that additional information can improve market efficiency, dependent on the type of information provided, and the market settings it is provided at.
