This thesis is focused on the corrosion inhibition mechanism of the environmentally friendly compound cetrimonium 4OH-cinnamate and its derivatives hindering corrosion and biocorrosion. The findings show a carrier mechanism by which cetrimonium micelles facilitate the approach of the aromatic compounds towards the metal surface.
