Intergenerational influences of couple relationship histories on offspring attachment security

Using intergenerational data from a prospective 35-year-old Australian study, this research shows that the quality of the parental relationship across childhood and adolescence predicts offspring romantic attachment security in young adulthood, and in turn, that romantic attachment security in young adulthood predicts next generation infant attachment security.
