This thesis investigated the regulation of immunity, growth and adiposity by a protein called STAT5. The findings suggest STAT5 impacts growth and adiposity through canonical mechanisms but regulates immunity through non-canonical mechanisms. This highlights the importance of considering non-canonical mechanisms in drug development for STAT5-mediated diseases.
